“I love the Lord, because He hath heard my voice and my supplications.” Psalm 116:1
There are an abundance of things to stir up our love for God. Forgiveness of sin, redemption from ruin, and the prospect of eternal life would be a few at the top of the list. But, how precious is the one mentioned in our verse: because He hears our voice and supplications.
Is it really true? God really hears me when I call out to Him? Can it be that the prayers of believers are not lifeless, empty words, but that they actually reach the ear of God? It is true indeed. The Holy God of heaven and earth, the most High, the King of kings is never bothered or annoyed by the sincere prayers of His people.
The truth is, God is real. He is not an idea or an abstract theological theory. Not only is God real, but we are also real. And we have real problems, real sins, real burdens of our heart, and real spiritual, emotional and physical needs. And He alone has real grace, mercy, healing, wisdom, comfort and power to supply the needs of His people.
Believer, express your love for God today, because He hears your voice.
