THE GOOD NEWS

The gospel is the good news that God sent His Son into this world to live a perfect life, die a substitutionary death and rise again from the dead for the salvation of His people. All human beings are sinners against God, are deserving of His eternal judgment and are incapable of making themselves right with God. Jesus is the only hope. All who come to Christ in faith, turning from their sins, have the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

GOSPEL BASICS

1 God – Is our Creator and Judge. We stand accountable to Him.

2 Man – We were made in God’s image, but have become guilty before Him.

3 Sin – God created us good, but we have corrupted ourselves with sin. The results are devastating.

4 Jesus – We can’t solve our self-made problem. The life, death and resurrection of Jesus is the only way.

5 Response – Jesus said, “Repent and believe the gospel.” — Mark 1:15

What Should You Do?

If you are not a follower of Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider these things carefully. You are a sinner before a holy God. You cannot save yourself. But there is great hope in Christ. Jesus has never turned away one who has genuinely come to Him for mercy. His grace is full and His love is deep. He is the only path to a right standing with God.

Cry out to God in prayer. Confess your sin. Trust in Jesus Christ alone — His death, His resurrection, His righteousness — as your only hope before God. And come, worship with us, and hear the Word of God proclaimed.

“And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” — John 6:40
